I review the Armytek Partner C2 – this is my collection’s smallest 18650 tactical flashlight! I carry this light around as much as my Convoy S8 now.

Armytek Partner C2 Review

General thoughts after a week of usage/size comparison/practicality/interesting things:
β€’ So I may have found my new favourite tactical EDC Flashlight! This is the Armytek partner c2 and it was only by chance I noticed it the other day while I was browsing the Armytek website. I’ve used it for over a week now and it’s probably one of the most rounded tactical flashlights I’ve tested on my channel. For disclosure – Armytek sent me a sample of the Partner C2 for this review.

Overall Construction, LED, lens, bezel and reflector
β€’ As always, I’m impressed with the attention to detail and high quality that Armytek put into their flashlights. It’s difficult to explain but makes complete sense once you’re holding one. Everything just has that ‘premium’ feel. Some simple thermal cutouts on the head. The body is smooth. The anodizing is the best I’ve seen in the industry, as it’s durable, matt black, and extremely grippy to the point that no knurling is required. It’s even grippy with wet hands! IP68 – submersible for 5 hours at 5m! And 10m impact resistance – high specs that most other tactical lights I’ve reviewed. Dual o-rings for extra water resistance. On top of that, you get a 10-year warranty included!
β€’ I’ve used the clip from my Elf C2 as it allows me to deep carry the light, but the normal clip is made of high tensile, uncoated steel, and leaves the tail switch slightly exposed when pocketed for ease of deployment. Springs on both ends of the light to protect against recoil.
β€’ Large rubber sideswitch with stainless steel ring. It also doubles as a battery indicator. The tailswitch is amazing – slightly recessed and made of stainless steel – feels very durable and also requires a firm press to activate, and is almost silent. It’s a dual-stage electronic switch with no delay. The tailswitch also doubles as a magnetic charging port. Also important to note that there is no risk of short-circuit due to the electronics within the tailcap.
β€’ Bezel is crenulated but with no sharp points. SMO reflector paired with Cree XP-L Hi, AR Glass. Optimized for long-range performance with some short-range spill.

Considerations
β€’ This is an amazing way to improve water resistance, a tactical switch, and magnetic charging but it is a proprietary charging system. You can also carry around an external slot charger or use another 18650 light to charge the cell.
β€’ 1020 lumens – not the brightest tactical light out there but Armytek has gone with a conservative output to preserve runtime, sustained output, and longevity. Enough light for most purposes, but if you need a flood light, this isn’t the one for you.
β€’ More expensive than budget tactical lights I’ve reviewed on this channel, but you also get a ton of extra features and better quality construction.

Verdict
While the 1020-lumen output of the Partner C2 seems unspectacular on paper, this is probably one of my favorite pocketable tactical lights in my collection. There are smaller 18350 ones, but taking them seriously is hard due to the greatly reduced runtime. The Partner C2 is the size of my Convoy S8 but has all the bells and whistles – regulated output, tactical functionality + EDC modes, a throwy beam, and superior construction quality.
