Darren here, and this is the Nightwatch A73 Pro, a seriously powerful pocket flashlight that claims up to a crazy 28,000 lumens!
There are two versions available, with the 6000K version rated at 28,000 lumens and the 4000K version rated at 21,000 lumens with high CRI. After using the A73 Pro for a week, let’s take a closer look at the build, beam, UI, performance and what it’s actually like to use such a ridiculously powerful flashlight.
One thing that’s immediately clear is that this is a pocket rocket rather than a flashlight designed to sustain 28,000 lumens. The manufacturer claims the light can draw up to 63A on turbo, so you’ll need a very high-drain battery to get anywhere near its maximum performance. It also gets extremely hot and steps down quickly on turbo.
I don’t have the equipment to independently measure the claimed 21,000-28,000 lumen output, so I’m not going to pretend I can verify those numbers. What I can say is that the lower modes are surprisingly impressive, the predominantly floody beam produces plenty of usable light, and the A73 Pro packs an incredible amount of performance into a relatively compact body.
