So I got something really unusual in the mail recently… the UGREEN HomeAgent HA100!
UGREEN describes this as a local intelligence for your home, combining local data storage, AI processing, home security monitoring and smart home control in a single device.
I’ve spent the past week testing it out, including connecting UGREEN’s ID500 and OD600 security cameras, trying out the AI features, exploring the apps and seeing what it’s actually like to have a local AI system running at home.
One of the most interesting things about the HomeAgent is that your data and AI processing can be handled locally on the device rather than relying entirely on cloud services.
There are still some limitations though. The HomeAgent is currently in beta testing, some features are incomplete, and there are some things I’d like to see UGREEN improve or add in future updates.
So in this video I’ll show you what the HA100 can actually do, how the local AI works, the security features, storage and smart home functions, and my thoughts after using it for a week.
