GOYOJO have just released something pretty interesting: the Sentra 315, a compact thermal monocular designed for night vision, navigation and long-range thermal spotting.
In this video, I’m taking a closer look at the design, specifications, features and what it’s actually like to use.
The Sentra 315 features a 384×288 thermal sensor with 12Ξm pixels, a stated thermal sensitivity of âĪ20mK, a 50Hz refresh rate and a 15mm lens. GOYOJO claims a detection distance of up to 1,125 metres for a 1.8m human target.
You can use it as a standalone thermal monocular or mount it to a compatible helmet for hands-free thermal vision, making it an interesting option for navigation, scouting and spotting objects in complete darkness.
I’ll take you through what’s included in the box, the build quality, controls, user interface, app connectivity and outdoor performance, along with the things I think could be improved.
