In this video, I review the Nextorch E52C flashlight. This 3000-lumen, rugged-looking EDC is engineered to military standards. The UI is quite simple and only has three modes + strobe. One thing I like about the Nextorch ‘E’ series is the screw-down bezel. I haven’t seen this implemented before on any other flashlight, but essentially the charging port is underneath and this is much better at keeping the light waterproof (compared to a rubber gasket).
Nextorch has upgraded the E51C by changing to a 21700 form factor and swapping out the Osram P9 for the more powerful XHP 50.2. If you’re looking for an EDC flashlight that will hold up to the elements, make sure you watch this video.

Nextorch E52C: Short review and overall impressions
General thoughts after a week of usage/size comparison/practicality:
• Great EDC flashlight for general use. Very bright and floody. I like the momentary switch, it’s useful when you want to quickly switch mores or activate turbo in an instant. Easily pocketable, though larger than its predecessor, the E51C. A very capable light that you can easily store in your backpack/car, or in your pocket.
LED, lens, bezel, and reflector
• XHP50.2, AR lens, anti-roll bezel. Unscrew the head to access charging port! No more worrying about the charging port cover popping off.
• OP reflector – I’ve tried to screw and unscrew the bezel mutiple times and it appears there is some kind of seal under the head that stops dust from entering the head of the flashlight. Great design as even a speck of dust does bug me for some reason.
UI – modes
• Demonstration
• Double tap for strobe.
• Sturdy metal button
• Battery indicator
Performance – total output, beam profile, longevity, practicality
• Ceiling bounce test, CCT/CRI
• 3000 genuine lumens at ANSI standard is impressive for an EDC light, more floody with a large hotspot.
• 2 hours 30 mins runtime on high, 65 hours on low. Nextorch have switched to a 21700 form factor in the E52C, which I think was a good idea, given the higher draw/output of the XHP50.2. Previous model had an Osram P9 with half the output.
• Amazed to see the same level of attention to detail and quality on Nextorch’s EDC lights as I know them more for their tactical lights. This light feels very durable and will withstand rough usage, especially with the 2m drop resistance.
Considerations
• Will only accept non-proprietary button top 21700 cells with added length.
• 4 second long time out for last mode to reset to high.
Verdict
• An excellent choice for an EDC, I recommend this light if you’re looking for an everyday light that you can carry around with you in your pocket, backpack or in your car – it’s on the larger end of EDCs but it packs a punch in terms of overall and sustained output. The large battery would get you by for a few days of heavy use if you didn’t have access to a charger. Premium and rugged design, it’s built to last, even the belt clip is made of high-tensile steel.
