This is the Olight Marauder 3, capable of producing up to 25,000 lumens with a claimed throw of around 1 kilometre.
But the ridiculous output isn’t the only thing that makes this flashlight interesting.
The Marauder 3 combines powerful flood and long-range spot lighting into one enormous package, powered by a massive built-in battery with a capacity of around 31,900mAh – roughly equivalent to eight 21700 cells.
I’ve been using it for a week to see what this 840-gram flashlight is actually like to live with, and in this review I’ll take you through the build quality, size, controls, optics, beam pattern, output, runtime and real-world practicality.
The Marauder 3 uses 16 flood LEDs alongside a dedicated spotlight, with separate flood and throw controls and a rotary dial for smoothly adjusting brightness.
There’s also USB-C charging, around 30W reverse charging, battery and brightness indicators, a digital runtime display and a high-temperature warning system.
And yes – it’s BIG.
At 840 grams, this isn’t exactly an everyday-carry flashlight, although Olight does include a holster to make carrying it more practical.
I’ll also test its different modes and beam combinations to see just how much light this thing can actually produce – and how well that output holds up once the flashlight starts heating up.
There are some compromises, including the non-replaceable battery, the substantial size and the relatively fast step-down on the highest modes due to the lack of active cooling.
But with an enormous battery, huge output, flood + throw capability and a lifetime warranty, the Marauder 3 is clearly designed to be a serious high-output light rather than something you casually throw in your pocket.
So is Olight’s new flagship actually worth the size and price?
