I’ve always wanted to review one of Lumintop’s Thor LEP flashlights, so when they reached out and offered me the new Thor 5, I just had to take a look! This thing looks like something straight out of a sci-fi movie, with a beautifully machined titanium body, glow tubes, and a seriously impressive beam distance of up to 1.2km. It’s almost like carrying a mini lightsaber in your pocket!
In this review, I take a closer look at the construction, design, user interface, beam performance, and some of the compromises that come with a compact LEP flashlight. It’s definitely more of a collector’s piece than an everyday flashlight, but it’s one of the most unique lights I’ve tested.
