I reviewed the Wuben F5 – it’s a great multi-purpose light that can be used as a flashlight, photography fill light, power bank, and more. Affiliate links are below.

Wuben F5: Multi-function camping light with tint switching!
General thoughts after a week of usage/size comparison/practicality/interesting things:
• This is quite a different light from the ones I normally review and while it doesn’t look like a traditional flashlight… it certainly can be used as one. Wuben markets this as a multi-function camping light but it can also be used as a portable photography/work light as comes with a 1/4-inch threaded hole.
• What you get in the box.
Overall Construction, LED, lens, bezel and reflector
• Plastic construction except for mount and magnetic backing. Feels very solid and has a nice weight to it.
• SMD LEDs @ 3000K, 4500K and 5700K. You can see each LED individually through the diffuser. The 4500K mode is achieved by combining the 3000/5700K LEDs.
• Power bank function, USB-C charging. Ports are secure under rubber flap.
• Magnetic mount and O-ring for hanging above or ease of use.
UI – modes
• Press the center button to switch it on, double press to switch the tint.
• Click the + or – buttons to increase/decrease brightness. Holding will shortcut to the highest or lowest mode.
• From off, press three times to check the battery level.
Performance – total output, beam profile, longevity, practicality
• CCT, CRI, Ceiling bounce test
• Extremely flood beam – this is a light suited to close range. But it also would work well as a walking light on the higher modes.
Considerations
• No lock feature. Thankfully, the light does not get hot during use and doesn’t create a beam that may cause a fire. The buttons also require a solid press to activate.
• Plastic construction – but still rated IP64 and 1m impact resistance.
• Cannot disassemble the light to replace batteries. Might be possible to remove the white diffuser but I don’t want to break it.
Verdict
This is a surprisingly versatile light that I’ll be using for videography in low-light conditions and as a portable power bank. The magnetic backing makes the F5 double as a work light as well, as you can attach it to objects and work hands-free. I’d recommend this light if you’re looking for a versatile, multipurpose light that you can rely on in a variety of situations.
