Wuben G2: Most Versatile Keychain EDC Flashlight?

Wuben G2 Flashlight Review

The Wuben G2 is a miniature keychain flashlight that comes with some unique and high-quality features that you won’t see in other keychain lights. I think it’s the perfect light to carry around with your keys or in your pocket. Check out my video to find out why! Affiliate links are below.

Wuben G2: The Perfect Keychain EDC?

General thoughts after a week of usage/size comparison/practicality/interesting things:
• Surprisingly good construction and overall quality. This isn’t your usual throwaway keychain light. I’m also impressed with how thin it is.. but it also has some serious range for such a slim light.
• I like that I can use it with the included clip, as a keychain light and also as a work light too if you take the keychain off to access the magnet.
• Comparison with Nextorch keychain light K40 and Reylight Pineapple Mini.

Overall Construction, LED, lens, bezel, and reflector:
• Smooth, durable anodizing, aluminum body. You can attach and detach the included clip, as well as the keyring. A strong magnet on the tail cap. Light will also stick on its side too. It has a premium feel it it, doesn’t feel cheap and plasticky like most keychain lights.
• Also has a serious LED, the Osram P9 – very efficient, little to no heat in the G2. Shallow TIR lens. It’s like a flattened version of the one in the Knight X-O.
• Charges via USB-C (280mAh battery).

UI – modes:
• ML, low med high, turbo. Press and hold to turn it on. Press and hold to switch modes.
• Double press for turbo.

Performance – total output, beam profile, longevity, practicality:
• CCT, CRI, Ceiling bounce test
• Beam profile is surprisingly throwy with a 180-degree spill.

Considerations:
• Non-replaceable battery.
• More expensive than your usual keychain light. But it will last!
• Plastic lens – standard for TIR.

Verdict:
One of my favorite keychain lights. The low profile, flat profile makes it more likely to bring it with you as it fits flat into your pocket. I like the relatively high candela of this light that lets you see close to 100m ahead of you and could be used as an emergency self-defense light. It’s very versatile and it’s rare to see this much care and thought put into a little keychain light.
